Lucy Soni was born in Kent in 1973 and lives and works in London. She graduated in 1997 with a BA in Painting from Chelsea College of Art London. 

Her recent shows include Pillow Talk, Uniqlo Tate Lates, Tate Modern, 2018; An Evening of Performances + DRAF 10th Anniversary, KOKO, London, 2017; and Mega Hammer, Glasgow International 2016. Her work can be found in public and private collections in the UK, Hong Kong and the USA. Soni curates shows independently in her home, an ongoing project entitled Why Don’t You…?HQ, which was included in Art Licks Weekend 2015, 2016 and 2017. She curated a number of exhibitions and events as a member of South London Women Artists, including the award-winning I’m Inside, Ring the Bell, 2013, a re-enactment of Judy Chicago’s Dinner Party. Her most recent solo show, 45, was in her sitting room, on her birthday.
